Multi-Million Dollar Verdict for Gee and Glover in Commercial Litigation
Ty Gee and Tyrone Glover in February 2019 secured a $4.5 million verdict on behalf of a prominent Denver trial attorney, whose former law firm refused to honor a contract to pay him attorney fees. The law firm was represented by one of the largest firms in Denver.
Haddon Morgan and Foreman is thrilled to announce the addition of the attorneys from Stimson Glover Stancil Leedy starting May 1, 2018. The merger, which unites two powerhouse criminal defense and civil litigation law firms based in Denver, adds four new partners to the 42-year old Haddon Morgan and Foreman.
Haddon Morgan and Foreman was founded in 1976 by former Denver public defenders, Hal Haddon and Bryan Morgan, to specialize in criminal defense and civil trial work. Lee Foreman joined in 1977 to complete the leadership team. Since then, the firm has selectively brought on experienced trial lawyers to build a practice that is unparalleled in the Rocky Mountain region. Starting May 1st, the firm will be adding the four attorneys from Stimson Glover Stancil Leedy, who have extensive backgrounds in criminal defense and civil rights litigation including securing the largest civil rights jury verdict against the Denver police in Colorado history.
Attorneys from Stimson Glover Stancil Leedy include Kathryn Stimson, Tyrone Glover, Julia Stancil and Brian Leedy. The attorneys of SGSL are all, like most Haddon Morgan and Foreman lawyers, former state defenders, with strong trial practices, having tried over 150 jury trials to verdict. All four attorneys have broad experience in both federal and state courts. Kate and Brian both worked with the Federal Public Defender's Office in Colorado; Tyrone has a wide-ranging corporate background, and Julia has received local and national recognition for her representation of Veterans.
Both firms are thrilled to announce this exciting development and to begin working together to fight for their clients.
“The firm is full of superb trial attorneys who can handle any complex matter, criminal or civil,” says Rich Baer, former General Counsel for UnitedHealth Group and Qwest Communications International Inc., and current General Counsel for Liberty Media who has worked with the firm over the years. “What distinguishes them in my eyes more than anything else, however, is that they care deeply about their clients; they would rather win than sleep.”
